• Tujiamini Bronze winners share their purchases and show gratitude.

• Over 2,000 applicants received during the first month.

• 80 applicants awarded 10,000KSh.

After the February 28th grand opening, Tujiamini went live, receiving over 6000 applications from around Kenya. Over 1000 of these applications were for the Jiamini Bronze Award which is open nationwide each and every month.

The Tujiamini Bronze award sees winning applicants receive a cash payment of 10,000KSh, with no strings attached to how winners spend their award. Applicants are required to submit an application online as well as share a video showcasing their talent or the equipment that needs replacing etc.

Each month the 80 best applications win, nationwide.

The first month saw a fantastic group of applicants showcasing a diverse range of talents and sports. From Karate, to skateboarding, singers and comedians, Kenya’s wide range of talents and sports were recognised and rewarded.

Since notifying applicants, winners were waiting patiently to receive their award via their preferred payment method, and purchase that new pair of football boots, boxing gloves or even booking in valuable studio time to record their next song and dance.

Upon purchasing their goods, several winners have been sharing their purchases with Tujiamini. Expressing their thanks for the initiative and sending photos of the purchased items and even sending in images and video of the new items at work.

Tujiamini hopes that with the purchased items, winners will be able to keep pushing towards achieving their dreams both on the sports field and putting their talents to use.

The initiative powered by SportPesa aims to uplift and empower talented individuals, teams, and clubs. The first month winners were headlined by Sagana rivers slalom kayaker Samuel Muturi. Samuel took home the Jiamini Gold award, with goods or services valued up to 500,000KSh going towards his dream of competing as the first Kenyan Kayaker and the Olympics.

The SportPesa initiative managed in partnership with DBA Africa, sports development specialists have hit the ground running with a successful first month.

Next up, Tujiamini heads to North-Eastern and Eastern. Applicants vying for the Gold and Silver Awards will need to live in these regions. While Bronze applications are again open nationwide.

Would you like 10,000KSH to put towards your sports and talent dream, submit your application today.
