Talented cyclist Patrick Mugo wins Trek Stache Carbon Bike with Tujiamini Silver award

For professional cyclist Patrick Mugo, the dream of conquering the Kenya Cycling Race Series (KCRS) in 2024 just got a whole lot more attainable. Thanks to his recent recognition as a Tujiamini Silver Award winner by SportPesa, Mugo has been gifted a brand-new Trek Stache Carbon mountain bike, along with a pair of high-performance cycling shoes, perfectly timed for his upcoming competitions.

 

Patrick was one of 5 winners of the Tujiamini Silver Awards from Central, Kenya. The life changing Tujiamini initiative by leading online gaming firm SportPesa, announced 5 silver and 1 Gold winner from Central region last month. With Patrick’s purchase having to be shipped from the UK, he has had to patiently wait for his dream purchase to arrive.

 

The Trek Stache Carbon, a top-of-the-line mountain bike, is set to be Mugo's trusted steed as he takes on the challenging Wildathon MTB race in Naivasha on June 1st and the Sokoke MTB event in Watamu on May 26th. These races are crucial stepping stones in Mugo's quest to clinch the coveted KCRS title in 2024, a goal that has become more achievable with the support of the Tujiamini initiative.

 

Mugo, who recently finished an impressive 9th in the 2023 KCRS season, has been a decorated cyclist for the past six years, amassing victories at events like the Nakuru Black Mamba and Iten Black Mamba in 2021. His remarkable achievements even earned him a spot to represent Kenya at the Africa Continental Championships XCO in Namibia in 2022.
