·        GB Masters and New Balance athlete-turned-coach Andy Clement is in Kenya to provide athletics coaching.

·        Rukia Nursa and Fridah Ndinda receive coaching and New Balance kit through Tujiamini and the partnership with DBA Africa.

After recently helping judge the Tujiamini North Rift applicants, renowned hurdling and running coach Andy Clement has arrived in Kenya to impart his knowledge to several Tujiamini award winners.

Andy, a former GB masters and New Balance athlete, will spend two weeks working with previous winners such as Frida Ndinda and Rukia Nursa, as well as visit the North Rift region winners who will be announced later this month.

Ndinda, captured the prestigious SportPesa Tujiamini Initiative's Gold award earlier this year, her talents putting her on the radar of DBA Africa founder Storm Trentham, who connected her with the internationally renowned Coach Clement.

Both Fridah and Rukia have shown incredible talent in their applications for Tujiamini, and with the support and guidance from coaches like Clement, it is hoped that the two athletes will go on to reach their goals and truly unlock their abilities.

Clement first met the pair last week at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, where he was able to gift the athletes new training gear and running shoes courtesy of New Balance.

Rukia went on to win her 100m Hurdle Final with a personal best of 13.6 seconds at the Athletics Kenya Olympic trials on Friday, June 14th. The Tujiamini Bronze awardee has been dominating her competition in Kenya, but she needs to get below 13 seconds to compete with the world's best. Having guidance from coaches such as Andy will go a long way in helping her reach her goal.

At only 22 years of age, Ndinda is a specialist in the 10km event, with an established time placing her among the top 100 athletes in the world. Through Andy's assistance and working side by side with her existing coaches, Tujiamini hopes to see her pushing for qualification for the Olympic Games in 2028.

The Tujiamini Initiative by leading online gaming firm SportPesa has so far announced winners from two regions, with North Rift Region applicants patiently awaiting the results of their applications. Winners from the North Rift are expected to be announced from next week.
