The highly anticipated Cheza Dimba tournament is ready to kick off this weekend, featuring six talented teams from across the Nairobi Region. Football enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the action-packed event at Dandora Stadium on August 31.
The Cheza Dimba tournament has become the number one target for grassroots football sides in Kenya. It offers a unique platform for teams playing in regional leagues and below to compete at winning sponsorship and gaining valuable experience and exposure. This month’s edition promises to be no exception, with a lineup of six ambitious clubs ready to leave everything on the field.

Each of these teams submitted applications through the Tujiamini website with an accompanying video showcasing their skills. The selected teams now must showcase their talents on the football field to compete to win the esteemed 3 year sponsorship package.
The winning side will secure a SportPesa sponsorship package worth KSh250,000 per season, guaranteed for three consecutive years. Joining past Cheza Dimba winners, Eldoret FC, Ikuu Spiders, Rockstars and Megastars. While last months Western Tournament was canceled due to all participating teams fielding ineligible players.
Additionally, for many of the players involved, the Cheza Dimba tournament represents a crucial stepping stone in their football careers. Strong performances here could catch the eye of scouts from higher divisions, potentially opening doors to professional opportunities.
