A spry Injera picked up a ball for the first time in Vihiga High School and ran with it, literally and figuratively. Since then, he weaved through and finally made his big debut on the world’s rugby stage at the Hong Kong Sevens in 2006.
Touted for his breathtaking speed in open space and signature devastating handoffs that sends opposing tacklers tumbling, he reigns as a leading try scorer in the history of the World Rugby Sevens series. The affable and athletic Kenyan has gone on to cross the chalk 237 times in 67 tournaments, making him one of the most universally respected players and a genuine identity in international rugby.
